The Miracle of Jesus' Birth
The specifics of the birth of Jesus Christ are found throughout Scripture. From Genesis to the gospels, the truth that the Messiah would come is clearly seen. When we come to Matthew’s gospel we are introduced to the human actors of Jesus’ birth. Those who would play the parts of Jesus’ parents during His time on earth. Mary was a young humble woman who fell in love with a carpenter from Nazareth, and Joseph was a hard working man who wanted to live a quiet happy life with the woman he loved. They were betrothed and waiting for the next step in their relationship, but God had a very different plan for each of them.
